Mwaniki Mageria is a Film Producer, Director, Distributor and Emcee. A graduate in Business and Communication from Daystar University, Mwaniki started his company, Balozi Productions, in the early 2000s. He partnered with local producers to build the RiverWood brand and serves as Secretary General of the the RiverWood Ensemble Filmmakers Association. Mwaniki and his Balozi team are the founding creators of Kalasha Film & TV Awards, the Kenyan Oscars. He is also an immediate former Board Member at the Kenya Film Commission having completed the maximum two terms allowed. Judy Kibinge is a multi-award winning Kenyan filmmaker, director and writer. She was recently picked to join the ranks of voting members of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (known for its annual Academy Awards ‘The Oscars’). After a career at McCann Erickson (now McCann Kenya) one of East Africa’s biggest advertising agencies as Creative Director, Judy realized she wanted to be a filmmaker and views advertising as having been her film school. Among her well known films include Something Necessary (2013), Killer Necklage (2009), Project Daddy (2004) and Dangerous Affair (2002).
