Mwaniki Mageria

Mwaniki Mageria is a Film Producer, Director, Distributor and Emcee. A graduate in Business and Communication from Daystar University, Mwaniki started his company, Balozi Productions, in the early 2000s. He partnered with local producers to build the RiverWood brand and serves as Secretary General of the the RiverWood Ensemble Filmmakers Association. Mwaniki and his Balozi team are the founding creators of Kalasha Film & TV Awards, the Kenyan Oscars. He is also an immediate former Board Member at the Kenya Film Commission having completed the maximum two terms allowed. He is the Treasurer for the Guild of Film Distributors in Kenya and also sits on the Government Creative Economy Taskforce.

Cajetan Boy

Cajetan Boy is a producer, writer and editor who has been in the industry for over 10 years. He has worked in the film industry in various capacities including producer, scriptwriter, director, editor and actor. He is the Products Development Leader for Et Cetera Productions Ltd and the Vice-chair of the Kenya Scriptwriters Guild. He is a screenwriting mentor with the Maisha Film Lab and a guest lecturer at Africa Film and Television Talent Training Institute (AFTTI) in Acting for Camera. Cajetan runs an online screenplay writing class.

Judy Kibinge

Judy Kibinge is a multi-award winning Kenyan filmmaker, director and writer. She was recently picked to join the ranks of voting members of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (known for its annual Academy Awards ‘The Oscars’). After a career at McCann Erickson (now McCann Kenya) one of East Africa’s biggest advertising agencies as Creative Director, Judy realized she wanted to be a filmmaker and views advertising as having been her film school. Among her well known films include Something Necessary (2013), Killer Necklage (2009), Project Daddy (2004) and Dangerous Affair (2002). She is also the founder of DocuBox, an East African documentary film fund that supports East African filmmakers, as well as a founding member of Kwani Trus, a Kenyan-based literature networking group, focusing on creative writing.

René Denis

René Denis is the Regional Audiovisual Attaché at the French Embassy in Kenya since 2016, responsible for film, broadcast and audiovisual media cooperation in Kenya and the East African region.
